Last Jan when we drycamped at Quartzite we were in a good sized $5/day gravel lot right near town with no dust (because of the gravel), hardly any other campers, and a free shuttle that looped by every morning and took us to the action so we didn't have to de-camp and drive our toad-less RV.
Overall, I very pleasant camping experience. We saw all the RV's way outside town camped in the desert and wondered why they found it necessary to camp way out there. Maybe $5/day was too much. We were in a small motorhome, however, so it was easy to get into smaller camping areas, since we don't need a lot of maneuvering room or pull-through access to campsites.
