Quiet Gulf coast RV park

X2 on the panhandle weather. Can get cold and icey a lot during the winter months. I would move down just a little further south.

I am just outside Ocala on the west side and the weather in north central florida is only around 10 degrees cooler than let's say Ft Lauderdale but it is REAL nice area. I use to to further south but once I found out about this area I have never gone back!

Rock Crusher CG is also very close to Dunnellon where Rainbow Springs is. Just spectacular and you can kayak, canoe or raft down it. They also have a CG. There is also Goethe SP, etc. There are a lot of hidden gem CG's in this area. And just an hour or so trip to the Gulf Shores. Shhhh, don't tell everyone!

I stayed at Rock Crusher Canyon two years ago. It was a pretty nice campground. It wasn't crowded and the managers were pretty nice.

You've got many good ones to choose from. Atlantic Oaks in Biloxi Mississippi; several in Gulf Shores Alabama, including Anchors Aweigh; and many more in the panhandle of Fla. I've found rvparkreviews.com to be pretty reliable. Camp on!

Quiet and out of the way, Alabama: The Rainbow Plantation in Summerdale- an Escapees Park.

Isn't the panhandle and northern FL kind of cold in Feb ?

I like Live Oak Landing in Freeport FL in the panhandle. About 10 miles to the beach.
Stephen Foster State Park in White Springs FL is beautiful and quiet.
Farther south, I like Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon FL. There is a 14 night maximum stay. If they are not booked after 14 days you might be able to extend.
In Williston FL, Williston Crossings is nice.
