I have not heard of them bothering sewer hoses, but friends parked their 5th wheel at a trail parking lot in the Everglades and went on a 2 hour hike. When they returned, their roof was torn to shreds by the birds. Damage was so extensive, they had to replace the roof and that necessitated new roof vents, etc. It was a big insurance claim. It was other people in the parking lot that alerted them to what had happened and very quickly.
