Campgrounds near Aiken, SC
Is there any decent place for a RV within 20 miles or so from Aiken, SC? Thanks in advance.

The closest decent campground I know of is Yogi Bears Jellystone at River Bottom Farms. It is about 35 miles from downtown Aiken, but it is a great park. The weekends usually draw a lot of families, especially on holidays, but during the week you would have the place to yourself. I've Heard good and bad about Aiken State Park, but have never been. As said above, any of the COE or State Parks around Thurmond Lake are nice, but are 40+ miles from Aiken. I have seen a few parks around the city, but look mostly like places for short term workers.
