I've experienced this enough that now I specifically ASK before making the reservations. If they say there is no guarantee...I forget them and decide on another RV park.
In my opinion there is no excuse for that type of business ethics (or lack thereof).
Reputable RV parks are happy to send you an email with confirmation and a guaranteed rate.
