X2 and while it was a KOA it was a routine stop for us when heading south to FL.

  • Stayed there many times on the way to Florida, never a problem. Easy access to I95, quiet, great for an overnight.
  • thanks all,
We are coming to I-95s by way of US52s through Darlington so Florence is better suited for the night over. Unless We go the walmart route??

  • IIRC South of the Border (Camp Pedro) is fairly near Florence.. Nice long pull-thru's, reasonable. EZ in/out.

  • We've stayed there a couple of times, no problems except that it's about $5 more per night than some of the other similar I-95 options for a quick overnight north or south of Florence.
  • The other one, Swamp Fox, I think is very close to the freeway, so you get a lot of noise due to the lack of trees. We drove through it once several years ago and was not impressed, went through mid day and the office was closed. sites seemed pretty uneven and quite open. The Florence RV cg was a KOA, but that changed about 6 years ago. It's pretty level, not much freeway noise even tho it's fairly close to the freeway, lots of trees. We stayed there in a 36ft MH and had friends with a big 5er, also about 36ft, who stayed there with no problems. Would stay there again if we were in the area.
  • We have stopped there several times as we travel back from FL. Just stayed there Sunday night. They have had a lot of rain and the road into the park is pretty rough (TV Road). The paths inside the campground are dirt and they were a bit rough, as well.

Overnight pull-through sites work great. And are usually fine. There has just been so much rain that it's pretty hard to keep up, I'm sure.

The staff is friendly. Nice pond with geese. Play area. Didn't use the laundry or bath house. We will definitely stop there again when in the area.
