There are many CGs in the approximately 100 miles between the NH border (Portsmouth, NH/Kittery, ME) and Freeport, Maine, especially in the Old Orchard Beach/Saco-Biddeford area so the 'excuse' to return to MD is really not valid. Yeah, you lost your deposit and it stings, but life goes on. Did you have an extenuating circumstance - sure, but along the Maine Turnpike, I-95/US1, there has never been a problem for me communicating via cell phone so not calling is not really a good idea as this is THE high season along the coast of Maine.
