We've stayed there a couple times. You can make reservations and they will give you a specific site which is nice. Sites are large, paved, and level. Water pressure is high, recommend you use a pressure gauge. Kind of no frills and there there are some long term campers in there, but overall was fine. Convenient to the commissary and PX. Redstone doesn't have a lot own it, but it is easy to get to the space center. Huntsville's a nice town too.
You should plan to go in the Rideout Rd (Rte 255) gate. The other gate is too small.
