Ancient Redwoods rv park in Redcrest right on the Avenue of the Giants is our favorite. Full hookups and close to all the parks and things to see.
Crescent city is 120 miles and to far IMHO. Eureka is about 35 miles.
Advice: DO NOT plan on driving a rig on the Avenue of the Giants. Not only is the road very narrow but the redwoods extend straight up at the very edge of the road and they show the scars of many RVs. But not to bad to reach the above CG.
