For many it's because of traveling late and leaving early. Thus pulling in or out disturbs those already sleeping or still sleeping. Maybe even the campground manager. Campground fees are rather expensive for just a few hours of sleep. I remember years ago pulling into a campground late and the office was closed. I parked right in front of the office went to bed. The office was still closed when I awoke in the morning so I left as all I'd needed was a place to sleep not all the amenities and we didn't use any facilities
