There's a round ring on the handle (on some of them) to turn the water off and on. It's still going to dribble a little bit because it's designed to take the pressure off the hose when it's in the off position.
We love ours and have one in both our MH and TC.
Hubby installed an on/off switch BEFORE the hose... I leave the round ring on the shower head in the ON position all the time.. and use the on/off switch my hubby installed. It still dribbles a little bit. It's designed to do that.
