Fair question. There are always people who will complain about anything, but by and large not very much.
I should note that is how it is around here, Lake Havasu and the Colorado river. It's the summer visitors that annoy people far more than winter visitors. It's the summer visitors that treat the area with disrespect, make it hard to use the lake or river on weekends, and in general leave a big mess when gone. You don't get any of that with the winter visitors.
