Richmond VA to Pittsburgh PA - must see places ?

We are planning to go from Richmond VA to Williamsport, MD and layover at Hagerstown / Antietam Battlefield KOA .. From the name am presuming there is a battlefield nearby .. should we plan on sta...

You can spend a whole day at Antietam. I assume that you will be taking 95->17->66->81. Fredericksburg has some nice battlefields to tour. You will cross the Appalachian Trail on I66 at Linden. There is a Camping World and Gander Mountain near Winchester and a nice outlet mall near Hagerstown. Unfortunately, you will also have to go through the Breezewood gauntlet on the way to Pittsburgh. But there are some nice touristy shops there. Have fun
