Ridge Road COE, Georgia
Stayed at Ridge Road COE Campground in Appling Georgia this weekend. It sits on Lake Thurmond. Been over a decade since last there. We are from the Augusta Georgia area and have not been out there a many of times. Place was good or as can be expected from a COE campground. The only issues we had was the previous camper did not leave before checkout and left trash in the fire pit and someone pooped in the men's urinal in the bathhouse close to us. Fire pit was cleaned the next day by an attendant.
This is a great place to fish, boat, swim and just relax. The seclusion of our site was pretty good. Look at the pictures below and see if you can see our neighbors. This is a 180 degree view sitting from my chair under the awning. Behind us was the road, but was about 30-40' away with trees in between. Site #24.
