Ridgecrest, CA

I stay at the fairgrounds. Nothing fancy. There is open desert camping (BLM) just south on 395 if you don't want hook ups. If you're lucky there will be a desert race going on.

If you belong to theElks they have a nice campground at their Log in Ridgecrest.

If you take Hwy 178 you can head into Ridgecrest and there is a mobile home / rv park Bertrand's High Desert about 2 to 3 miles towards town on the right. If you can boondock there is 9 Mile Canyon Rd 2 miles N/O Pearsonville on 395 big area to park.

There are also numerous BLM campgrounds in the area and they dont cost anything.

CG in Mammoth Lakes and in Lee Vining.

Sierra Trails RV Park Mojave California

Nice very long pull through sites in the back and $36

+1 for Ricardo CG in Red Rock Canyon. Desert dry camping at it best IMO and only $25 a night.
