River Falls at the Gorge CG

Spent the last several days here and I must say the CG has many nice qualities. The bath houses are very nice and the chairs and hammocks along the river are a great touch. The pads need more gravel. I had to relevel a 15' hybrid trailer twice and I am using pads under the levelers. We have not looked at the clubhouse or used the pools but that is normal for us. Close to the park and about what we expected.

Thanks for the pictures. This looks like our kind of CG. A touch primitive but with full hook ups and in the trees.

We did confirm that during the winter, although unmanned, the sites are still fully on, (Eectric & Water).

My opinion (May vary from some) -- State park for the cost, actual parking pads are graveled or some pull throughs paved and access right into the Gorge is better.

River Falls - If you have kids and the pool needed to entertain, or you need sewer hookup, or want to be on the river. Not sure on the clubhouse, inside pool, WIFI, ammenties.....

This past weekend, I did a little re-con into River Falls Campground -- pedaled through on my bike ride

The campground had several basic playgrounds for kids, a basketball court up at the front entrance, I did not go into any of the buildings, insdie poool, etc.....



Right outside the campground, across the street, you can enter part of the state park, there is a nice paved walking and bicycle path in that area around the river

Campground Site

I see this campgournd (the entrance) on many of my trips in and out of North GA.

It is right after going past the Gorge State Park ~1 mile), and I recall over the last couple years the entrance way being improved (more inviting, landscaped, signs, etc...)

From the site, it looks very impressive, I may try to swing through and check it out, & put in on the list.

We utilize the state park, descent park, some sites pretty small & not level, hiking acess into the park, realivitely cheap $20 a nite.
