Rivers Edge RV Resort, Winterhaven, CA

Anyone ever spent any time here? How is it?

Had a really hard time finding an RV park in Yuma that allows families, it's mostly 55+. This is only a few minutes away and allows children.

We're going to be getting some dental work done in Mexico and need to spend some time in the area.
  • We use it all the time as an overnight stop when heading out or coming back from a trip since it's about 150 miles from home.

First though. They sit right on the rapidly flowing Colorado River with high steep banks, so be very careful with children.

We like the place a lot because they have many very tall trees between the street areas. And the place is on the California side of the river away from all the hustle and bustle of Yuma. But then it's a drive of a few miles for services, too.

We rarely if ever see the place mentioned by Snowbirds for some reason. They do have lots of park models, though.

With the caution about children, I'd say you would be happy there.
  • Thanks! Kids aren't too small and they listen well, we'll make sure to warn them about the Colorado.
  • We have stayed there several times. Nice pool & hot tubs. The staff are all very nice. Try to get a spot at the west end of the park - there are big trees blocking the wind from the north & at the south end of the row, closer to the river, so you get less highway noise.
  • We checked in last night. So far everyone seems very friendly, office staff was really nice to my little girl when we checked in. Facilities seem great and lots of activity. Should be a nice place to spend Christmas.
