Well maybe with Wi-Fi at the ranger station, you could Google up a local tv station for the info needed.

Its not the mileage, its the mountains.

I guess the in-laws in W. Jefferson must have had cable.
You would think you could get TV reception from Johnson City which is only 28 miles away from the state park

We have gone camping at Roan Mt. State Park several times and just got back from there in late June. Have never got good TV reception from our camper antenna in the bottom creek camp section near Ranger Check-in Station, due to surrounding mountains. They do though have Wi-Fi at the Ranger Station.

Its been several years since we were there, but at that time, TV reception was limited. May be better now, but AT&T cell service was non-existant also. Get a good book, and a fishing pole. Thats all you will need.

I believe there are at least 2 local tv stations in Johnson CIty, TN which you should be able to pick up. We used to get them back in W. Jefferson, NC when visiting the in laws.
