We were there last summer. Plenty of Jet Ski's on the water. Water is calm. Don't go into the inlet - you will be on Air force property.

Go into town and go to the fish bowl bowling alley. Lots of fun. You can get into the other area state parks for free if you flash your pass. There is a Bass Pro shop there too.

Take the time to visit the naval air station museum in Pensacola at the naval station. It's free. Go on a Tuesday and you get to watch the blue Angels practice. Leave early - lots of traffic.

Don't follow a GPS if you decide to go across the bay to Destin - it will take you the wrong way.

I'm always up for staying at new places and just checked to see if anything at this campground was available to Memorial Day weekend (plus a few extra days)....they have a few sites!! I'd like to take our jet ski's down...can anyone tell me about the bay - are jet ski's allowed? Is the bay rough, etc? We always make an annual trip (with jet ski's in tow) to St. Andrews SP and jet ski mostly in the jetty but do travel out to the Gulf....when the waters are semi-calm.
Any help would be appreciated!

We are leaving out on the 3rd. It has been a very relaxing week at a very beautiful park. The granddaughter age 3 has had a real good time. Have a safe trip and enjoy the park and surroundings. We have some very nice in Florida.

Very nice campground and park. The sites for the most part are very shady and some what private. The Eletric service is 50/30 amp with water hookup only. The park has a very nice playground and and very nice boat launch in Rocky Bayou that leads into Choctahasse bay. It is very close to Elign Air Force base and just across the mid bay bridge is Destin,Fla. We will defintly be coming back here again.
