RV at Highland Lakes Campground off Highway 4 in California?

Question

The Ebbets Pass website says it ha 35 sites for tent or RV, but says the road is steep in places and fords a creek.  Anybody been up there that can give a road report if its suitable for an RV?

This may not be of much help, but a decade or two ago, we took our 26' Class C up 4 as far as the campground at Calavarras Big Trees.  No issues at least that far for that size rig.
