rv park billing?

Where we stay for the winter in Florida...we arrive on Nov. 1st and we stay for six months...by their calculation we are paid thru May 1st.
On our receipt it states first night, Nov. 1st, Last Night, May 1st so we leave on the morning of May 2nd.
They count the month as the whole month regardless.

Did anyone here ever rent a house or an apartment? Was it for 30 days at a time? The thing is I have found no rv park in this part of the country that charges this way. PapPappy I agree with you.

Pay for the two extra days if you have to be there until the 10th, or leave on the 8th, or speed up the revolution of the earth around the sun to 360 days, or go someplace else. Jeesh!

Look at this way.

There are 7 months with 31 days in them = 217 days
There are 4 months with 30 days in them = 120 days
There is one month with 28 days in it = 28 days

217+120+28= 365 days / 12 months = 30.4166666 days on average.

Sounds fair to me.

The problem is that each month does not have the Same number of days. If you stayed across the month of February, you would lose a few days. I think have a set number of days, makes the most sense and is fair for everyone, no matter which months they stay.

What do you consider a month?

Sounds like an outdated computer system and/or programmer.

This policy is the result of a new owner of this rv park. The previous owner did not bill this way. I called 4 other rv parks in the area and they do not bill this way either. Also we were not informed of this at all and only found out when reading the receipt for the second months rent.

I think many, if not most, figure 30 days to a month. Right or wrong.
