- cruzr4-2ExplorerSorry for the triple post, I got an error message and thought it didn't go through. Oh well
Dennis - cruzr4-2ExplorerA few years ago we stayed at Camp Lutherwood which is near Long Valley Junction, 1/2 way between the two parks you are talking about. It is a Passport Cg. Nothing fancy but nice and reasonably priced.
There is about 2mi of good gravel to the park from the junction.
Check it out

Check it out through Passport Americas web site.
Dennis - Stealth1ExplorerWe just returned from visiting Zion and Bryce. With a big rig we chose to stay in Saint George at "Temple View" RV Park. The parks were a bit of a drive, but there was grocery shopping, a Camping World and a fueling stop right there. Park was nice, nice folks and no problem with a big rig!!
Ken - jalichtyExplorerWe stayed at Zion Canyon last April and day-tripped to Bryce and Kodachrome State Park and also took a day trip to St. George. Springdale is pretty centrally located to all of this and it doesn't take all that long to look over Bryce, including taking a hike if you want to do so.
- RaenMarkExplorerThe former KOA just north of Glendale. We saw it on the way past, but didn't stay there. Looked nice enough in passing. Bryce Zion Campground
- Camper_Mama_BeaExplorernot many in that area. we stayed at a KOA, it was about half way between the two, went to one park one day, the other park the next day. according to many it isn't enough time, but it is what we had planned given our schedule. not sure if the KOA is still there since the trip was several years ago, but hubby had stayed at the same KOA as a boy with his parents, so they could still be there.
- RaenMarkExplorerWe were just down there for a week in April. Stayed at the Hitch-N-Post in Panguitch and really liked it. Friendly owners working to improve their place, not far from downtown and the town had the best diesel prices we saw the whole trip.
When we went to Zion, we stayed at Bauer's Canyon RV park in Glendale. It was a nice enough park, easy in and out. But Glendale doesn't have much of anything and you'll end up going to the tourist traps or driving to Cedar City or Kanab for supplies.
Have fun while you're there, beautiful country. - LaurenExplorerI would avoid Zion River (high priced, ethics issues, etc) and stay at Zion Canyon in Springdale. And Ruby's for Bryce.
