twobachs,
If you are coming from western MI and are going down the I-65/I-24/I-75 route, we like to stop at Cave Country RV Park in Cave City, KY. Lots of level pull-thrus, good hookups, friendly people, and you can walk to a Cracker Barrel or a nice Mexican restaurant without unhooking the car. We also like Harvest Moon in Adairsville, GA, Forsyth KOA, and Twin Oaks in Elko, GA. It just depends on where we are on the road when its time to stop. They all have level pull throughs, full hookups & easy on/off from the X-way.
Thanks for the info. Have a safe trip south if you haven't headed that way yet. - Linda_BExplorertwobachs,

We're traveling from MI as well. What other RV parks do you stay on the way down from MI? - JTHarleyExplorer12 years heading to Florida from Michigan and 12 years stopping at twin oaks…..easy in and out, nice folks and clean.
- HorsedocExplorer IIFor an overnite on the cheap, check out the rest area just north (very close) to the Macon Bypass. or better said, the first rest area south of Forsyth. RV parking spaces with NO trucks (RVs only) and a dump station. In a wooded area and comparatively quite considering it is on an interstate
- ependydadExplorerIn Atlanta itself is a fairgrounds that offers inexpensive RV spots.

They make pizza in the office. It smells so good we usually get one. They will deliver to your site.
Forgot about this but that's another plus for us. After traveling all day its nice to have a warm pizza (and wings if you like them) show up at your door. No mess\effort to cook and easy cleanup. - rhingstExplorerTwin Lakes RV Park in Cumming looks very nice.
- rockhillmanorExplorer III stay at that KOA on every trip to Florida. Just a word of advice.
Albiet the sites around the lake are really nice. If you have dogs ask not to be parked there during the time the geese are migrating!!
Some campers feel the need to feed these birds and they remember it and come right up to your RV door squawking for a hand out. What a nightmare that was for me with the dogs!
Within 4 minutes of pulling in I had to go to the office and asked to be relocated.
When will campers get it? Don't feed the wildlife!!!! - Linda_BExplorerWe are not big KOA fans, but have stayed at the one in Forsyth a few times because it is a convenient distance for us. The first time they put us in the front area with narrow sites, lots of trees, and the hookups were on a hillside. The next time we discovered they have a large area full of pull-thrus in the back. This is where we ask to stay now. They are level and the satellite works there. A golf cart leads you through the older sites to your site in the back area. They make pizza in the office. It smells so good we usually get one. They will deliver to your site.
