  • From Moab you will pass all the RV parks with full hookups if you plan to drive the RV there. If you are wanting to stop at an RV Park and drive to the Four Corners Monument, Farmington and Cortez aren't too far and both have plenty to see in their areas.

We came from Canyon de Chelly on route to Mesa Verde (Cortez) and the Monument was on the way. The kids and DW enjoyed the stop and we all had fun with plenty of photos taken. Spent about an hour there and for us it was a good stop along the way.

We stayed at Ute Mountain Casino which has a large RV park with full hookups and an indoor swimming pool, it's located on Highway 160 about halfway between Cortez and the Four Corners Monument. Have a great time exploring the area.
  • Like everyone else we drove all the way out there & thought, well, that was a waste of time & gas. There is nothing there. Nothing special to see. There is the monument & some indians selling trinkets.
  • There is lots to see and do in the Four Corners area, but the Four Corners monument isn't one of them. Unless you just have a hankering to see it, just skip it. It's not even in the correct spot.

Suggest staying at Cortez, Bluff or Gouldings and you can cover most of the area.

Tell us what you want to see and do. Hiker, ATVer, Jeeper or a drive around shoot pictures kind of tourist? We've spent months and months exploring.
  • McPhee Reservoir in Cortez is a pleasant place to stay. However, the 'Monument' isn't that impressive - to us, anyway. I wouldn't go out of your way for it.
  • Not a whole lot near the monument itself, but Farmington, NM and Cortez, CO aren't that terribly far away. We usually stay at Mom and Pop's in Farmington. Nothing special at all and just fine for a short-term stay. Cortez has a decent-looking KOA that would serve, too.

    :)
