I'm from Lakeland now living in Winter Haven. Sanlan is in Lakeland and is fairly nice, I hear. I think they charge a pet fee. There is a park right off I-4 that would be pretty convenient to the ball stadium (assuming the game is at Joker Marchant) called LeLynn. We've driven through a couple of times. It looks okay for a few days stay.
My two picks would be Baylake, which is also right off I-4 or Mt. Olive Shores North in Polk City, but near I-4. They might be a little pricier than the others.
