RV Park near Tampa

We are planning on spending a couple of winters in Florida in our fifth wheel. Looking for a nice campground on the west side of Florida, near or south of Tampa, away from the coast, that is clean, quiet, cement patio and drive, paved roads, good biking, pool, hot tub, dog friendly, has high speed internet available (dsl or cable), secure, gated, primarily has English speaking residents, up to $3500 for the season. I know it is a tall order, but does anyone have any recommendations based on personal experience? Thanks. Casey

I was not aware that they had a hot tub. Is that something new?
  • Here a couple of choices. Be careful of parks around Ellington, as French will be the primary language in several there.

I can recommend these 3, as we have stayed in all of them. I personally like Sun Lake the best of the 3 as it is a small CG, in the country with good amenities and lots of roads to ride your bikes.

Agree with Quail Run. Only concern might be weather. Its not bad but I like it further south. Park is great. Location to stores is Ok too.

Further south is fine. Just figured I needed to go at least as far south as Tampa for decent weather. Not been to Florida before.
  • Sounded good until the pet part. We have two border collies. Well behaved but well over thirty five pounds. C
  • Quail Run. Check pet rules. One pet only. No dogs over 35 pounds.
