RV Park with full hookups near Concrete WA ?

We are looking at being in that area for an Aug 2nd family event and have a 19 ft. travel trailer would love to use ..

Went to RV Park Reviews and saw there is a KOA/RPI, etc. park near there, but was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions .. we may opt to stay in a motel, but would rather take the travel trailer and combine it with another sightseeing trip while in the area, so may end up being in the area for a week.

And another thing I noticed was that the RV Park Reviews has some parks which have reviews that are 4-5 years old and don't see that we can rely on reviews that old ... so came here for some help.

  • the DW is from Concrete and we like Raser because it's right along the Skagit River.
  • Either Rasar (my fav.) or Howard Miller - you can't go wrong with either park.
You cant camp at Rockport but it is open and it's worthy of a visit to have a picnik and just walk through the old CG. The old growth tree's are stunning in their sheer size.
It's truly a shame this CG will never reopen but some of the branches are bigger than normal tree's and it's just too dangerous to camp under them.
  • There's also Raser State Park which is across Hwy 20 from the KOA. As I recall one loop has w/e. Lots of trees though so no tv, but nice hiking trails. Of the ones mentioned, we would go back to either the KOA or Howard Miller. Please note that Rockport State Park has been closed for awhile & probably will not re-open. Too much old growth timber that could drop big limbs on people.
  • Just a few miles east of Concrete is Howard Miller Steelhead Park at Rockport. This is operated by the county and has water and electric at the sites, with a dump station available. A very nice park. Check it out here http://5starcampgrounds.com/howard-miller-steelhead-park/

There is also the Rockport State Park, but the amenities are better at Steelhead Park.

    You will defiantly need reservations.
  • There is a county RV park near there, suggest you contact Skagit County in Mount Vernon for details. As I remember there weren't many trees when we were there a couple years ago as the park was fairly new, but I suppose that the landscaping has matured somewhat now.
  • We stayed there a couple years ago while we explored the North Cascades. At that time the Park was a Thousand Trails Park managed by KOA and the park was divided between the two. It was an OK park for us. It was hot and we were able to get a 50 amp site. If in the area, would stay again.
