RV parking for Fiesta Bowl

It appears that there no specific accomodations available for rv's at the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, AZ. I'm sure I'm not the first football fan to look for a spot near the University of Pheonix Stadium for football. With all of the college and pro games played there I feel that I must be missing something.

If anyone has any suggestions for a nearby campground or rv tailgating spot for the January 11th game, I would greatly appreciate any input. I see several campgrounds located within 10 miles or so and hope some are setup to provide to and from transportation.

Of course all plans depend on the cooperation of the Green and White.

    If everything works out (we beat Mich St) we have 3 night reservations at Desert's Edge and six of the cheapest ($450/ea.) game tickets.

    I would look at available RV parks in the area. Fiesta bowl RV parking is $150 for the day and you have to leave after the game is over. Google Fiesta bowl RV parking for more information.

    I have stayed at:

    Desert Edge RV Park Which is near the intersection of 101 Hwy North and I17 in North Phoenix.

    I have also stayed at:
    Desert Sands RV Park But they use to have a lot of permanent residents, but I'm not sure now. They are near the Desert Edge RV Park.

    Both of these parks are only 19 miles (20 minute drive) from the Stadium.

    Wow! Looking at Google Maps, it looks like enough golf courses to go around. I have a cousin who retired to Scottsdale, last year, on a golf course. Hope it's not going to be too hard to get there for a short visit. She moved there from Kansas and loves it.

    Estrella is next to a public golf course and I visited the park and did not have any sense of concern for safety issues. I would not leave anything outside unless it was locked up, but this is a good rule any RV park. If I remember the sheriff Dept. patrols the area. The town of Good Year is only about 10 min. from the RV park. I might suggest making friends with fellow RVers in the park who are spending more time right in the park and just ask them to kinda watch your rig while you are gone. A case of beer or some good wine might be a good exchange:):):)

    about a 15 min. drive depending on the traffic to the Phoenix stadium.
