It is not fraud. Their policies clearly state rates subject to change without notice. What generally happens is dates booked long in advance, up to a year. They change the rates during the year, especially over holidays. A printed confirmation showing rate paid also shows the policy.
I have this policy printed on confirmations at several resorts. Our last stay was at Flying Flags in Buellton, CA. I was charged an extra $107 for the 3 nights I stayed over the amount I had already booked at. They said rates changed for the holiday rate that was not reflected when booking and policy states rates can be changed without notice. This isn't the first time nor the first resort to have done this.
