I'm going to suggest the silver foil bubble insulation for the windows. Your air conditioners won't be able to keep up with the sun shining in. Drapes or blinds don't help much. Don't forget some for the skylights/vents you have. Be aware the wind can kick up quickly and strong so you may not be able to keep your awning out especially while you are gone. I stayed 3 weeks in September in a 5th wheel toy hauler, single pane windows and the foil was a life saver especially on the west side.
I also lived there 12 years and heat is relative. If it's dry and you can stay in shade, life is enjoyable even in the 100s.
