rv parks on califorinia I-5

march 23rd we are scheduled to go from Valencia travel village to go to Mountain Gate Rv park ready to cross the mountain.
can anyone suggest 2 evenly spaced RV parks?
we have stayed at flag city before.
Valencia to flag city is 313 miles.... a bit much for us old folks!
Thanks all

  • We drove from Sac to Yuma yesterday and today and I 5 was really busy, traffic actually stopped at times. It was a mad house. We stopped in Bakersfield for the night. Today the wind was really blowing over the Grape Vine and thru LA
  • It's only about 170 miles between Valencia and Sommerville (Almond Tree) RV park; that may be fewer miles than the OP wants to travel? There are a couple of places in Santa Nella; check RV Park Reviews. But, one can go about 25 miles or so north on I-5 to the Kit Fox RV park that "lanerd" suggested; IMO, it's a better choice than either of the options in Santa Nella.
  • Sommerville Almond Tree RV park in Coalinga was a nice stop. Our last stop there we got in just before the office closed at 5pm, but I was told people just pull into any open spot and check in in the morning. Very clean, shape and grass, a nice overnight stop. https://www.sommervillervpark.com/ Streets and Trips show the location a distance off the road, but the reality is it is just off the I-5 exit.
  • The only other one I've stay at is at Kit Fox rv park in Patterson. Nothing special but good for an over nighter.
