- Vet_ManExplorerWestern Village near Harrisburg PA is our normal stop. Open all year
- agwillExplorerThere are a number of KOA's along the way that are not too bad. One in Maryland I have stopped at and a couple in northern VA.
- mdcampingExplorerWe have done similar trips.
The one we have stop at is http://koa.com/campgrounds/hagerstown it's about 8 hr from eastern CT.
Average campground, good for an overnight stay.
Mike - Dutch_12078Explorer IITwo midway stops that we like are:
Falling Waters Campsite, Falling Waters, WV (Good Sam discount)
Shenandoah Family Campground, Mt Jackson, VA (PA discount)
Both are easy off and on I-81... - darsbenExplorer IIIf you do not need hook ups the Flying J at exit 323 just as you enter Virginia has always been good for us.
- RGar974417ExplorerClaytor Lake State Park is close to an exit and has water and electric sites. There is also a gas station at the exit that has lots of room to fuel up.It is about 10 miles north of I77.
