rv parks on RT 81

I will be traveling between Danbury, CT and Gastonia , NC and would like to find a RV Park about halfway.
Any suggestions
  • Western Village near Harrisburg PA is our normal stop. Open all year
  • There are a number of KOA's along the way that are not too bad. One in Maryland I have stopped at and a couple in northern VA.
  • If you do not need hook ups the Flying J at exit 323 just as you enter Virginia has always been good for us.
  • Claytor Lake State Park is close to an exit and has water and electric sites. There is also a gas station at the exit that has lots of room to fuel up.It is about 10 miles north of I77.

  • I stayed at Endless Caverns last year for a stop over going to and coming home from Arkansas. Was pleased with the experience.
