- Matt_ColieExplorer III has been so long that I don't remember where we stayed, but if you are near the Dells, go down the road to the Circus Museum in Baraboo. That is what I call a 1 hour stop. What I mean by 1 hour is, if you are within an hour's travel, divert and stop there. You will spend more than an hour there, particularly if you are in season when they run a little 1 ring (free with admission).
Matt - LiltippyExplorer+1 for Devil's Lake. Excellent beach for swimming and beautiful park.
- tbredExplorer IICrimmps49 is correct, most have no water hookups. The Quartzite and Northern Lights campgrounds within Devil's Lake SP do have plentiful elec. sites though. None at the Ice Age campground.
- crimmps49ExplorerMirror Lake is another State Park, and all WI State parks are nice, including this one, but limited electric and no water/sewer hookups. Devils Lake is beautiful, but again no hookups, just limited electric. The KOA is right in town, and there are many more private parks around. This area gets busy from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Book early if you want to be sure to get a nice spot.
- tbredExplorer IIDevil's Lake State Park is about 25 min. away but an easy trip. Very nice state park with great scenery, hiking and swim/canoe lake. One of our all time favs! Book early, very large park but fills up fast.
