Thanks a million for all the suggestions so far...
still weighing it out as the wife is pushing back
(she is from East of Memphis in Cordova and concerned about the W Mem area). but trying to talk her into it
(soon as I do you know the orbital appliance will be smacked with tootsie rolls every day we are there !)
Also aware of the flooding possibility from a previous poster saying something like the bath houses are trailers so they can be pulled out when it floods :)
Wonder about mosquitos in mid October ?!? (as here in dfw they are having West nile sightings all over the place!)
Their website has a special section for the flood alerts. I didn't know and pulled in after the Mississippi rose up and over their entire CG. They are professionals there and they are very accustomed to the park flooding. The owners were out in full force power washing off all the concrete pads. They set me up in back and I swear they kept coming back to me to tell me it would only be a few more minutes more before I could move up to the front row. Real nice people.
I was not aware of W.Memphis, I found out all on my own and it sure was a shock. You can get in and out of the CG without going thru those areas. I used my GPS which is what got me in trouble coming in....I left the CG with the Mgr's direction, much nicer trip!:C
