Have you stayed directly on the beach before? Personally, I think it's an over-rated experience. Wind never stops blowing, salt and sand spray constant. But, if you really want to try it in that area of FL bring your checkbook. Try Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral or Lucky Clover in Melbourne (beachside).
