This is interesting. I'd want to know if a campground had done that to someone else. I rely on reservations being honored. I recall seeing a somewhat similar experience posted in the past, when the person didn't actually stay there (with $1 posted as the amount paid to fill that blank on the form.)
I've submitted 80 reviews and all have been printed, including some pretty negative ones. Maybe there's a new moderator with a different approach?
I was misled recently by believing a batch of nine and ten reviews for a place that turned out to be a dump. I wrote in my own more realistic review that all the earlier glowing reviews (which praised same things in oddly similar language) were suspicious. They ran my comments as written.
I think it's a very useful tool and wouldn't throw out the baby with the bath water, as the saying goes.
