sacramento

Years ago we stayed a county run place, a bit run down!
When we go snowboarding to socal, where is the best rv park in Sacramento?
For a month or so.
no kids with us.
Thanks
  • Have you tried pushing the RV Parks button at the top of this page? It works great for finding parks. From my personal experience, Sac sux for RV parks. There's the KOA in West SAC and a park in Lodi but not much else.

Just curious, you want to stay in Sacramento to go play in SoCal? Wouldn't it be better to find a park in SoCal?
  • We stayed outside of Sacramento while I was having treatments at Mathers VA Hospital.

We looked ALL over Sac Area for a DECENT RV Park....none to be found

So we searched outside of Sac.
Found Lake Camanche ---South Shore has 2 developed CGs
Off Hwy 12 S/E of Sac
  • We thought we would stop there to see some museums on our way south.
    Thanks all
  • Thousand Trails North of Sacramento in East Nicholas. Might be darn full with all of the evacuees from fires just North of that.
  • azdryheat ~ Stayed W.Sac KOA many times when there last year same park no longer KOA
  • As others have pointed out, Sacramento really lacks in RV Parks.....the one over in West Sacramento was horrible years ago. Likely even worse now. I did note some years ago that the State Fairgrounds had what appeared to be acceptable RV Park area. You might look up Cal Expo RV parking to see now.
  • The California Delta is about 45 minutes south and slightly west of Sacramento. There are several nice RV parks in the Delta. You might look into Park Delta Bay, nice with trees, off the main road, quiet, friendly folks and the water is just across the levy. Been there many times, never a bad experience.
  • Ditto to jmtandem, the fairgrounds in Sac were a basic parking lot in 2000 on our way home from AK, but they were right in close. Where are you staying in So. Cal.? I live there and the best I've found is a County park out in Simi. We're always on the lookout for friends, never anyplace new for eons.
  • we stayed at cal expo
    thanks everyone
Park Delta Bay is 50 miles to California State Railroad Museum
