Safety at Big Bend National Park
DW and I have been discussing a winter trip to Big Bend this January. Our daughter who lives in Texas has concerns about safety on the border. Is Big Bend safe right now?

You will see on the BBNP website/map that they have various locations where you can disperse camp for a small fee. Many are accessible with 2wd. You will find that everything in the park is at least a 25 mile drive. We stayed just outside the west entrance at the first private campground. It isn't much but it's cheap and the owners are super nice people.
