We live in Los Alamos, NM about the same distance to Taos as Santa Fe. For us Taos is a day trip.
I would stay in Santa Fe at Santa Skies RV Park. Easy access to Santa Fe and you can take the NM599 bypass to go North to Taos. About a 2 hour drive. Take the high road one way and NM68 on the way back.
There is the Roadrunner RV Parks in Pojoaque, but it is really just an open lot next to the highway.
If you are going to spend multiple days in each place, then it would be easier to stay in Santa Fe and then go to Taos. But I don't know the RV parks in Taos.
