Sault st Marie campsites?

I have stayed at Soo Lock CG right on the water and love it. Make sure you have extra water hose and possible extension cord for your main power cord as some of the site hookup might be on the wrong side. The water front spots are pull in (at least for a MH).

We stayed at Aune-Osborn a few years ago. Here are some pictures and comments.

Another vote for Aune-Osborn. Great spot to watch the ship traffic.

We like the Soo Locks Campground. They have always been good for us. We don't have a towed, so we have to walk or bike around town.

IMO, go a bit north to Pancake Bay PP. I really like that one, especially the sites with direct views of Lake Superior.

I thought Brimley SP was not all that nice - sites were very small and cramped.

We really liked Brimley SP. About 5 miles west of the locks. Very nice park with anything from total sun to almost total shaded sights with room to roam.

But if you want to watch the freighters from the campground, like PFitt replied, Aune-Osborn Campground is the place.

If you want to be near the locks with a good view, you can stay at Aune-Osborn Campground we like it a lot . right on the river as the freighters line up to go into the locks.

I've never been there but I have heard that Brimley state park is nice and has a wonderful view of the lake.
