I understand about the distance issues, #1 reason why we have never been to New England
We have friends in Savannah and go almost every year without the RV. Taking the Trolley Tour really is a good way to see a lot. Savannah is a old city, and they didn’t leave room for lot’s of parking when they laid out the town. Tybee Lighthouse and Fort Screven across the street are worth seeing, if you like that sort of thing. Same with Fort Pulaski and Fort McAllister.
You could also split time with Charleston, as they aren’t that far apart (100 miles). There is also Hilton Head and St. Simons Island
