Savannah Ga campground

We are looking for a campground around Savannah, Ga. The nights needed are December 28, 29 and 30. We checked the usual campgrounds, Skidway, River something, Fort McCallister and Richmond Hill. But they are full. We would like to be convenient to Savannah. We are in a 38ft Motorhome. Thanks in advance.
  • We've stayed at Red Gate Campground at Savannah. It's basic, located on a farm that is nice. A shuttle service was available to go downtown. It was an easy drive to any of the sights of Savannah if you don't want to use the shuttle. Very nice people running the campground.
  • Savannah does a fantastic New Years celebration on the riverfront area. Music , fireworks, food , and many craft vendors, everything is likely filled in anticipation for that.
  • Did you try Hardeeville RV Park in Hardeeville, SC? It is near Savannah and a straight shot into town. Basics but nice.

I know a few about an hour SOUTH of Savannah. but alas none in Savannah
  • Yes I've tried Richmond Hill KOA and the campground on Tybee Island. Everything is full. Perhaps I need to try more inward away from the tourist area.
  • We stayed at a campground on Tybee Island which is about 20 min away...I forget the name though, sorry.
