- VE3ESNExplorerWe've been to Skidaway which is certainly a nice park, but actually prefer Fort McAllister State Park in nearby Richmond Hill (just south of Savannah). We found it easier to get to the historic area of Savannah from Fort McAllister SP.

We've stayed at Skidaway twice...it's one of very favorite campgrounds and an easy drive to downtown Savannah. The full hook up sites can be hard to get, but they're enormous, really nice pull-throughs.

- RoyFExplorerMy favorite is Skidaway Island State Park. In the woods, lots of shade, sites spaced well apart, an easy drive to town.
