The property is PRIVATE and the government does NOT maintain the streets, then in most states they can deny the use of any specific motor vehicle on their "private" streets. Also, there are some states that do allow the use of deadly force to protect ones property.
I have a toy hauler and take my Harley with me. Harley Davidson has a great chain and lock you can purchase. Regarding parks not allowing a scooter. If it's registured for the street they can't legaly not let you drive it. The park can make an issue if like some motorcycles it's too loud and violates noise rules. Regarding being retired LEO and carry a gun everywhere. I too carry but I know you can not use a gun to protect property that would be excessive force. You can ONLY use a gun to protect your self or some one else from bodily harm.
