Seattle Aquarium vs. Vancouver (BC) Aquarium

We are flying to Seattle at the end of August and are doing a loop from Seattle, over to Olympic NP, up to Victoria, BC, then down to Vancouver, BC. From what I've read, both of the above aquariums are first rate. For those who have been to both, if you had to choose one over the other, which one would you choose and why? Or, for those who have been to either, is there a particular exhibit that stands out? Thanks!
  • We haven't been to VC but Seattle is nice. If you like amusement I found it laughable funny there is a Fish and Chips outside the Aquarium. Don't know why but that made me laugh aloud.

I caught the irony in that too when we were down there. :B

LOL! It's like being at the Living Seas in Epcot (which I think has been replaced now) and watching the big fish tank-while you eat fish!
  • I have been to both and they are both nice, Vancouver has several shows like you might have seen a SeaWorld

If going to only one go to Vancouver

That's about how I remember them as well, Vancouver's seems to have been larger. But it has been many years since we were at them. As well as several years between them.
  • We preferred Vancouver. Seattle is far smaller. The best aquarium on the left coast is Monterrey Bay Aquarium.

Unfortunately we can't get there this trip.

I have been to all three and I will stick with Vancouver
