Seattle RV Parks

Planning on spending a few weeks in our 36' 5th wheel somewhere near Seattle. I'd prefer a spot W of Seattle near the water. We can dry camp or go to a park with full hookups. Our kids live in downtown Seattle, so we'll need something 1-2 hours from downtown.

Any suggestions on where to park the RV?

Thanks.
  • OP also said 1-2 hours from Seattle. That gets hard to do crossing the sound or driving around.
  • CA Traveler appears to be the only personal that actually read what you wanted.

West of Seattle means across the water, while it imposes a Ferry, it makes for quieter more peaceful nights.

Fay Bainbridge is the closest to the Ferry to down-town Seattle (via the Bainbridge Ferry)

Eagle Tree is just off the island and is privately run as is nearby Cedar Glenn Mobilhome and RV

There is another ferry to Seattle coming from Bremerton. There the closest choice is Ilahee State Park
  • I'd prefer a spot W of Seattle near the water.
If you really meant West then there are more options across Puget Sound. With a chosen site you could park at the ferry and take it into downtown Seattle. Great experience and no Seattle parking problems etc.
  • Bryn Mawr Beach is close to the water. Trailers Inns of Bellevue is about the closest. Perhaps a local can comment on these.
  • Dash Point SP. Very pretty SP. Mix of site types & sizes. Not on the water but has access to the day use area & beach? a couple minutes from the CG area.

This massive pull thru must be at least 80'
  • You might want to check out the Seattle/Tacoma KOA. It is a pretty nice rv park, but the spaces are quite close together.
  • Seattle is a pretty spread out city.
There isn't many RV parks close in. 1-2 hours in Seattle traffic doesn't get you very far.
North of Seattle there is a couple.
    Twin Cedars 800 878-9304
    Maple Grove 866 793-2200
    Lake Pleasant 425 487-1785
None are much to write home about. There is nothing on the water.
There are others, but within 1-2 hours is going to be difficult without knowing what part of Seattle.
