- ACZLExplorerMoose Hillock near Lake George has LARGE and pretty private sites. Nick's lake near Old Forge perhaps as well.

No. It's the only link to any forum. If anything it should say "Choose a forum.." something like that. Don't count on it.
The link to the forum help/support page should not be the first thing people see, - drsteveExplorer

Amazing how new members end up in here, day after day.
It's not the fault of the new members. The layout of the front page is the culprit. The link to the forum help/support page should not be the first thing people see, but it is. Unless they scroll down, nobody sees the long list of subforums.
Until this changes, nothing will change. - drsteveExplorer

Well again to those who were actually helpful thank you. To those confused about how I assumed this was a forum on finding campgrounds please see the following statement from the head of this forum:
Welcome to our RV Forum, the Best source of RV news and information related to RVs, Campers, Camping, Motorhomes, Trailer, Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, Campgrounds, National Parks and State Parks in North America.
Please excuse me for assuming camping and campgrounds might include campgrounds.
If you scroll down you will see the full list of subforums. This one is for help with the website, and many of the members who typically offer help to others do not bother to read it. Posting in the appropriate subforum will assure that you get help on the topic you need in a timely manner. - CloudDriverExplorer

New York's Department of Environmental Conservation has lots of remote camping sites. Some are formal campgrounds while many others are simply a clearing by the road. The Ultimate Public Campground Project is where i found them.
Thank you for the link! Added to my phone. - JoeHExplorer IIICheck out Letchworth State Park. Sites are huge and very wooded. We were recently there for the first time and our site was probably 100ft deep and about as wide. Heavily wooded. I'ts electric only, but did have 50 amp. Nice waterfalls and hiking . In an earlier post, someone mentioned Hickories Park... it's really just a large open field. We stay there for a few nights while traveling across the state. It's not what I call secluded. but one of the few RV CG's that can accomodate large units in that area.
