What I would do is bring up GOOGLE MAPS and zoom in the area of New York you might be interested in. Then search for 'RV CAMP GROUNDs' All of the ones that show up will have a link to it so can see the camp grounds etc...
You can go to SAT VIEW mode on GOOGLE and get a real good idea how far back in the woods you might want to be in...
