Did you search this Forum for `Sedona' in the RV Parks section?

Do you want a beautiful, wooded site (#77) on the river, but you can only access by driving through traffic and traffic circles-Rancho Sedona, or do you want an open, nice campground across the Interstate from the only casino in the area-Distant Drums?

Have you considered staying at the Arizona Dead Horse Ranch State Park? It's about 20 miles from downtown Sedona. Also close to other great attractions.

All three mentioned are good choices. Rancho Sedona is the only RV park actually in Sedona, which will put you the closest to great hiking and jeeping trails. Sedona is the number two attraction in AZ for good reason. But as indicated above, there are also more attractions all around the Verde Valley (Cottonwood, Camp Verde, etc.).

It's true there are many traffic circles (aka roundabouts) in Sedona, but most are one-lane and easily navigable. I have no problem at all with them.

As previously stated, check the reviews. We just spent about a week at Distant Drums and enjoyed it, but a number of reviewers have identified that their concrete slabs are not always level. We drove thru Rancho Sedona. It looked nice, but we were primarily in the area to visit Prescott.

We stayed at Rancho Sedona when we were there to hit the Jeep trails, and it was the perfect base camp.

We liked Rancho Sedona. As I remember it was right in town. Very shady. Good place to wax RV. Enjoy. Betsy.

We like Dead Horse Ranch State Park.

Rancho Sedona is the place. Was there a few years ago and loved the campground and the closeness to roads and trails.

If you are an Elks Lodge member, the Sedona lodge has RV parking.
