Sedona Arizona

Wanting to visit Sedona with the family can somebody recommend an rv park that would be fun for the kids (ride bikes etc..). Probably a weekend type trip.
  • Sorry to be the one to tell you that the bike riding in Sedona is not good unless you are a mountain bike rider and like a lot of hills. Not sure of the attraction for kids in the area either.
  • Rancho Sedona RV Park.......at the end of park is a path down to Oak Creek. Swimming area with a rope swing. Plus exploring along the banks.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood...short drive to Sedona and Jerome. Biking, fishing, horse back, hikes along Verde River.
    Jerome old mining town.

  • Stay in Cottonwood at Dead Horse SP. They have water and electricity at the sites.

I don't think anyone except for the most experienced riders should ride the roads in Sedona. Way too much traffic and inattentive drivers. Also, very hilly. There are easy trails in the forest that kids would enjoy.

  • I'd go for Dead Horse state park in Cottonwood. They can safely ride their bikes in the campground and probably ride them down to the ponds as well.
